Wayne McKewen shaped my first custom Mt Woodgee board when I was 11 years old and I surfed it the next day at the under 14’s Gold Coast Titles. I won the comp and I’ve been surfing them ever since.
Mt Woodgee’s have carried me through the Juniors series, the WQS and now the WCT. The boards are absolutely awesome, working excellently in all conditions, from one foot to 12 foot Sunset.
Every time I’m back home on the Gold Coast, I spend a heap of time hanging around the Woodgee factory with all the crew. Nick has been running the show for years and has continued to keep the down to earth vibe intact. I reckon that vibe gas got a lot to do with why the boards are so superb to ride and so brilliantly finished.
